Your research and the GDPR Online

The special needs of research are recognised in the GDPR and there is a shared responsibility for compliance.

Still, most researchers find it hard to figure out how the GDPR applies to their own research.  In this webinar we provide an oversight of the core principles of data protection and apply them to real dilemmas and use cases.
The overarching aim is to provide an open and inclusive culture for responsible research in all stages of the data life cycle.

This webinar is developed by legal and research support staff and targeted at the beginning researcher.
We encourage you to send in in advance your perceived dilemmas and needs for use cases.  We'll contact you after your registration

Please note:  Supervisors and experienced staff, who have questions on clarification of responsibilities in research collaborations, are  welcome as well!
Yet, we can also offer to set up a webinar specifically for your research scenarios and use cases.
More and more, we hope to achieve that data protection is built into the design of research projects.

In the UG ethics boards, privacy & security coordinators, the legal department and research support staff work together with researchers to optimize privacy-compliancy.
