In this workshop, you will learn more about licensing your scientific output. The content of the workshop is designed to help researchers get an overview about the most commonly used licenses by presenting and discussing the different Creative Commons (CC) licenses as well as open-source software licenses.

Topics that will be covered:

• Why you should license your work.
• What you should consider when choosing a license.
• The different Creative Commons licenses.
• Most commonly used open-source software licenses.
• Differences between permissive and copy-left software licenses.
